Seton Center is celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year. Seton Center hosted an open house yesterday where guests were able to tour the entire facility and learn more about what happens here. This included the school. Did you know?
-over 600 families benefit from the food pantry each month
-over 5000 patients are seen in the dental clinic each year
-Seton HS has been a school since 1995 and NCA accredited since 2001

We have been blessed to have a group of volunteers to come in and tutor our students as they prepare to take the End-of-Couse tests. We thank them for their willingness to take their time.

Seton HS will take their state assessments the week of May 3rd. Students enrolled in the following course will take the state mandated exams: Algebra 1, Geometry, English 9, English 10, American History, American Government, Biology.

Seton HS has the following graduation requirements for the Class of 2010 and Class of 2011:
English/Communication Arts – 4 years (8 semesters)
Math – 3 years (6 semesters)
Social Studies – 4 years (8 semesters)
Science – 3 years (6 semesters)
Personal Finance (1 semester)
Physical Education – 1 year (2 semesters)
Health – (1 semester)
Fine Arts – 1 year (2 semesters)
Practical Arts – 1 year (2 semesters)
Electives – 14 semester units

ArtsTech of Kansas City and Seton HS have been in discussion about the development of a visual arts program for students next year. Plans call for students to attend Seton HS in the morning through lunch. They would then go to Arts Tech for instruction in visual arts or computer technology.
